INTERESTING CAT FACTS
The Cat’s maximum speed is 30 mph.
It’s average lifespan is 13 to 14 years. However, although their lifespan varies, a well cared for cat may commonly live to 15 or beyond, and some make it to 18 or 20. A few extraordinary felines even pass 25 or 30 years of age.
Cats can't see fine detail or rich color, but have a superior ability to see in the dark because of the high number of rods in their retina that are sensitive to dim light. As a result, cats can see using roughly one-sixth the amount of light that people need.
Cats are obligate carnivores, which means that they rely on nutrients found only in animal products. Cats are hunters that look for prey that contains high amounts of protein, medium amounts of fat, and a small amount of carbohydrates, and their diet still needs these same things today.

I like this piece because it's about cats, and I like cats. I used to have a cat. He died when he was 18. But, I wonder if you own a cat. I thought it was really good.
ReplyDeleteCW The One Man Band I actually don't have a cat of my own but, I learned this from my grandma's cat's who are still alive today. I love them both a lot and I am going to get my own cat in the future. Also I had an old cat that was 15 years old and he passed away in december.
DeleteWow, I didn't know cats could live up to 25 or 30 years old. That's cool. I wonder how many years the oldest cat lived?

DeleteI enjoyed how you explained how cats can see in the dark, and what they need for their diet. I have a cat who loves to sleep during the day, and stay up late at night. Why do cats do stay up all night and sleep all day?
ReplyDeleteEM Full House Cat's sleep in the day and rome around in the night because they are part nocturnal. Also tell Mary I say hi.
